as many of you know i installed a copilot on one of my trucks not long ago. when it shifts up from gear to gear, should i be able to feel it shift "harder"? it doesnt seem to make it shift any harder. all lights on the box light up when i arm it to "kill" and seems to come one and work but it just dont seem to shift any harder. i cannt really tell any difference with it on or off:o:

i have the same prob with the 3rd shift it kind of jolts and is a slower shift. now will the transgo trim valves affect the copilot's shift enhancement

Well, I lied. Loaded tcm tune when I got to the track. I ran twice with the tranny shifting great. Third time the tranny was very cold and shifted not so good. I reloaded the tcm tune, and the next round, shifted great.

I used to install another tcm at the track, now I just load a tcm tune into the tcm with efi at the track, hitting the "clear tap cells at completion" button. This usually works great for me when running the new co-pilot.

The reason I bought the co-pilot was because my converter wasn't locking consistantly. I now feel that was because of tranny temps. I make passes sometimes with the trans at 100-120*. Maybe MikeL. can help here. This problem may be overcome using efi to over ride the lockup control, saving a lot of money, I just don't know though.

What ever the case, my tranny shifts very, very well at the track with a Bobo ecm tune, Bobo tcm tune, and coupled with the co-pilot. I couldn't ask for a better shifting trans.

No, I run a low HP Bobo tow tune around the street. Gets 20+mph in mixed use driving:ro) I get to the track and load up the killer race tune and the tcm tune and to the starting line I go.

My truck shifted great without the co-pilot using this method. I feel the tuning I use has a great impact on tranny shifting. Co-pilot didn't change my shifts, just makes the converter lock everytime, which helped me in bracket racing.

So I've heard. Must be loading the tunes when I'm sleeping or something.

idaho rob, i was looking at your garage and it looks like you only have the transgo and a converter. is the rest of your tranny stock internally....
