A large percentage of people on this site add everything to their truck that they can put on there. Thats cool, god bless ya. But, my money tree does not grow quite as fast as most of yours. Theres a million things I want to put on my truck but I can only afford those that I NEED. My question is this. Which of these add-ons really helps to extend the life of the vehicle and its performance? All of the juicers and boosters and lifters and coolers, are all of these necessary for someone like myself. I drive my truck and I drive it pretty hard, I think. I never put it past the redline and will restrain myself from smokin the tires, etc until shes a bit older. I dont tow very often and the most wieght I put in the back is a pile of gravel or soil or something. I go up some nasty hills on some hot days but other than that I just drive. On the highways I keep it at 85 and under and Id say my highway to city miles are about 60:40. Do I need to boost juice pump and power or will I be ok just the way I am?

It all comes down to a matter of personal choice and application. If you feel the need for more power then consider one of the power enhancers. As far as extending the life of the truck look at things like secondary filtration for fuel and an oil bypass system, plus following a regular maintenance program should keep you out of trouble. If you were towing or hauling a lot consider larger capacity rear diff. cover and tranny pan.

Im not too sure of the exact MPG. Ive never figured it out to an exact figure. But I have a standard tank, I think its 36 gallons or so, and on the highway at those speeds I can get about 550 miles to a tank. You do the math. Let me know what you come up with.
