Yeah those color matched handles would kick @$$. I bet that this picture is very close, but I would look for a solid bar like on the current models through the bowtie..who knows though, I have been wrong before, once.

The Chevy with a buldge was in the background on the TV show Trucks when they were working on some other truck. I thought there was something different about it. It was the hood.

saw it at the texas fair. it's not the next duramax/silverado from what i saw. it had a different name that i can't remember. it was last year, so i'm going to have to dig up some pics.

Its a bulged hood but the upper section of that grille looks like it was smashed down. The first picture posted above was a picture of the cheyenne concept...Havent heard much talk about that lately, anyone know anything about it?

It still looks funny from the side. GM can keep changing things, but until those funky headlights go, it will always look strange to me.

The grill looks good, but not enough difference in the hood.

When is GM gonna get the hint that the wheels they put on there truck look like SH*T.

That hood looks nice but I am shocked by the grille. Actually its not directly the grille but the matchup to the lights. If there is no nice aftermarked grille to match the ligths I would not buy it like that. But maybe in reality it looks nicer than on that picture.

I agree - that is one ugly-ass grille. Chevy seems to be hiring design engineers from Mars while Dodge, GM and Ford (and Chevy until 2001) have hired them from Venus. I'll take Venus. ;)

I think the GM wheels are as nice as about any after market company. Just take a good look at most after market wheels once they spend a couple winters in the salt. My GM wheels still look new, and I have had weld wheels that when new looked as nice as any chrome wheel ever made, but after two years looked like chit.

Not on the 2500's. those wheels are nice. the 3500 dually trucks. I know quite a few people with the duallies that just can't stand the wheels on the truck. and unlike most of us, they don't care about dumping a bunch of money on aftermarket wheels. Sorry about the mix up. I'm kinda not all there right now. the past couple of days have been pretty SH*TTTY.

Topgas- as a GM employee I can assure you that you have hit the nail on the head. At work it seems that all the individuals that are making any of the real decisions have accounting degrees. We even have maintenence supervisors that are accountants.

I agree with both you and hoot. I do not care for the look, but either people don't care what it looks like as long as it has CHEVY wrote on it somewhere, or they like the new look. Because GM is selling more Chevy and GMC full size pickup trucks each of the last two years.

I think it looks nice. Get your 2003 or 2004 Chevy Truck product brochure out and look at it. Doesn't the yellow medium duty in the left side of the picture look the same.

At long last, a picture of the 2005 Silverado that we have all been waiting for, and passing up good deals on 2004 GMCs, to say I'm disappointed in the so called front end change and the supposed hood bulge and new look of the 2005 Silverado-HD is and understatement, those dam head lights still make it look Butt ugly, I know for a fact that I could carve a better looking truck out of a banana, look out GMC Sierra here I come.

Na, I just thought it was a proper response to the so called front end change in the 2005 Silverado, here I, along with others, were patiently awaiting a HD-Silverado with a nice big hood bulge, along with a more square looking head light design, a look thats more befitting for a truck that has a Duramax diesel under the hood and could most likly pull a house off its foundation, but what does GM give us, it gives us a truck with the same old looking front end, that looks like a constipated Chinaman, I Kidd you not just stand in front of one and check out the squinty look of the head lights.

I sure hope your rite, because that picture showing the upgrades that was posted above, sure didn't look like there was any changes from the 2004, like another guy said maybe GM is keeping a lid on the 2005 and the changes, so everyone doesn't put off buying a 2004 and leaving the dealers stuck with a bunch of them on their lots unsold.

That Venezuela photo does show a raised hood though. Much more evident than the red truck.

well that was a very good job with the changing of everything. but the grill disgn did look briter and stood out more but it was a good job and clean so i didnt coment on it.
