I installed one of Mike L's transmission coolers this morning. Over the past week I've been closely watching my transmission temperature so that I'd have a baseline to compare the new cooler with. I put on about 100 miles today with the new cooler and can report that my transmission is running an honest 25 degrees cooler than with the stock '06 cooler. It may even run up to 30 degrees cooler at slow speeds. That's fantastic! It's such a simple swap out too, although I did rap one of my knuckles pretty hard when pulling the lines out of the OEM cooler. Today is was 85 degrees out and my transmission topped out at 155 degrees in slow stop and go traffic in town. On the freeway (14 miles) between town and home it dropped to 140 degrees. Excellent design, Mike!

any fluid lost during the swap, or do you pop the new one in filled up?

I may have lost a teaspoon or so. It's almost like all the fluid gets sucked out of the cooler as the transmission cools down. It was pretty much empty and only dripped a little when the lines were pulled.
