thanks guys im glad you like it it does sit level its just on a slant in those pics it has a dana 60 in the front from a 2003 super duty using full throttle hangers ( fyi use the oru kit much much easier to get than those) it also has a super duty rear end both have 4.56 gears in it and are both set up with lockers i used the new truxxas 44x21x20 tires with moto metal 951's the truck has about 19-20 inches of lift as for the motor i have a edge programmer with the attitude and a afe stage 2 intake the exhaust is a mbrp set up that i modified because of the dual rear shock kit as for shocks it has 8 5150 bilstien's i used full throttle for the trac bar kit and oru cross over steering kit for it im pretty proud to see the finish product and to think i built this truck on jack stands and never have done a project of this caliber before it was alot of work and im glad its done i have some more pics ill post up soon im in the process of doing the inside of it now im glad to see the response its had 5 months it took for total build time

Maybe a dumb question, but is that a Ford/Sterling 10.5 rear axle? Bad light in the picture.

On Edit: I read the your last post, sorry.

phatkid1
10-24-2006, 10:37 PM
yep its a sterling rear end

to answer your question i havent put my drive shaft in yet im getting the slip yoke elimanator kit for my transfer case and i have the front axle degreed about 4 degrees with a shim kit i have a gut here in michigan that made my new alum. rear drive shaft for me and did my axles for me also i will take it back to him in the winter to have the new drive shaft made for it hes done a few of these already with zero breakage

Ok, I now remember this truck being talked about a while back.
Wow...:ro)

This is that horror story about:
Full Throttle sold a SAC kit to you and it took 4 or so months to get to you and then there was missing parts and they told you to pound sand.
It looks like you hooked up with Chris/ U-joint @ ORU and the truck is drivable now.

So I want to here the story of how Full Throttle helped finish your kit or did it end bad with you to pick up the pieces????

Truck looks great nice job!!

phatkid1
10-24-2006, 11:34 PM
ok ill tell you the story

after i paid for the parts from full throttle it took almost 3.5 months for them to arrive at my door when i opened the box it had all the parts except the upper trac bar mount was for a super duty im sure you guys all know a super duty track bar mount will not work on a hd . Well i called them up and explained to them what i have is not correct they basically told me we dont make that bracket for your truck any more so youll have to make the ford bracket work *(good luck there ) so i found a truck out here in michigan and made my own based off of that design i have a machine shop at my work so i copied the basic design on to some card board and cut some templates out and built the bracket my self i looks better then the one they sent me . what i found it hard to believe was i was spending well wel over 10k to build this truck and there are very few companies that handle this kind of stuff and im left pissin in the wind .... thants when i met chris from ORU he helped get me in the right direction and finish this truck they had everything i needed and i got all of it on time i wish now i would have done the whole project through them i would have been done alot sooner the final result was i paid 550.00 dollars for a trac bar kit and got one bracket a couple heims and a tube that was already threaded SUPPOSEDLY for my application after i made my upper bracket and went to install the trac bar it was wayyyy tooo long so i had to cut it down and find a huge left hand thred tap to get the size correct it was one headache after another with them i wouldnt buy a lug nut from them if my life depended on it ever again the whole experience was terrible from start to finish but i made my own stuff and learned alot about this business theres some great people out there and some not so great im just glad the truck is done

btw do you guys like the paint i did that myself also but i have to repaint the rockers didnt sand them good enough also i have some whacker flares for it i need to paint and put on soon
