I am wondering how tall a crew cab duramax is from the ground to the top of the roof with a 6" lift and 35" tires. I have to know if the garage door would be tall enough to get inside with a lift and bigger tires.

Most 6" lifts run 4" blocks in the rear. The reae seems to make the biggest impact on overall can height. My truck is running a 3.5" block in the rear and 5.25" in the front with 315/75R16s. My truck is 81 3/4" tall. The opening on a 7 foot garage door is 82". With many garage doors you can gain and additional inch by removing the trim strip that usually runs across the top of the door opening.

I think I am leaning towards a pro comp lift, does this lift have the smaller blocks in the back like you were explaining?

Man I hate it that the "edit" feature goes away so quickly. Does my first post even make sense?

I have 6" and still running 33's and I measure about 82" but I fit in with about 2-2.5". Can't wait for the 35's, even though they are 2" taller than 33's, the truck should only be 1" higher.

If you are 82" high, and you have 2-2.5" of clearance, then you don't have the standard nominal 7 foot garage door opening. Thts is actually a good thing. I currently have a 8' header on my garage door, but I'll be moving next summer and chances are the house I move into will have only a 7' garage door--which means I'll probably remove the upper trim strip.

what are you guy's measuring top of roof, or top of antena, my 2002 has a On-Star Antena on the roof so that will add 2.5" on the hight of the truck
