You plugging it in the cigarette lighter?
If so, it sounds like your adapter is shot. Those cheap plasitc ends are known for having wires wear through and pins that bend and short out. Pull the cigarette adapter apart and see if there is a problem there. My bet would be that is where it is. If the adapter is mangled pretty bad, you can buy a new one and wire it up yourself, or do like I did. I pulled the dash apart, and wired it into the cigarette adapter full time. I did that so I can turn the radio on whenever I want, don't have to have the key on in the truck. I will go out to the garage, turn on the sirius in the truck, turn the radio on in the garage and listen to my favorite games or music while working in the garage.

:exactly:
I wired my Sirius actually right to the fuse panel. Got rid of the ugly window suction cup idea and hard mounted it in front of the old AM/FM radio head unit. Now it's all there permanantly.

If you get the PAC aux input adapter it has a power output that goes out with the radio, just hard wire it in to the wire that sticks out of the adapter. I just leave my sirius on all the time, goes off when the radio does ):h. Plus i dont have the stupid static of the damn FM transmitter:ro)
