peekok 10-20-2006, 11:13 AM morning everyone, getting ready to load another tune this morning, and was wondering about disabling vats. having some problems with a bypass module on my remote start. has anyone done this, and what are the results? will the tell tale light still illuminate in the instrument cluster when it is disabled thru efi? will the theft content still be functional? just thought id ask first. thanx. The light won't illuminate and the theft content will not function. peekok 10-20-2006, 01:57 PM well i turned it off. the dash security light still comes on. i beleive the light is for vats and content theft? i guess ill try anf force open the truck and see if it alarms. as for vats is there a way to check it through the scantool? or is my flash not flashing correctly? peekok 10-20-2006, 02:02 PM just so were speaking the same language, im thinking vats is the ficm shut off if resistance dosent match in bcm. and content theft is just horn going off if someone opens doors. i thought both share the security light? Yes, so I sent both OS's to Ross. with a little list of other things that popped up, like my truck cal's not matching the gm site etc. The way i am going, with the bad abs sensor and the vats, i will have all the light in the dash lit up before you know it. | ||
