Does anyone have any knowledge of a Frantz oil filter system? A friend of mine is looking at one for his Ferd Powerjoke. I think it uses toilet paper!!!

Been a long time since I've seen one, but my buddy's Dad used to run a mechanic garage and sold those things to primarily Jeep drivers with V-8 conversions.

Yes they used a roll of toilet paper, and the oil appeared to be much cleaner when using them. I would like to see some oil analysis on engines running them however, since one of the marketing items was extended oil change intervals.

Don't think I'd go that way, but it may be something other folks might be interested in. I'll have to watch this and see what kind of input you get.

Quite a few folks on the BobistheOilGuy (http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/) forum use TP bypass filters.

There's one on eBay now:

I talked to a lady who is the daughter of the original owner. She is manufacturing/selling them again. Sounds like a good product. Just no field proof on D/A yet.
