Rocky, Is the truck a 4X4? If so check the auto 4X4 button to see if it's engaged. It'll make one shimmy like a possum sh*tting (sh@tting) persimmon seeds.

The wife's truck did this a while back and I felt like a total jackarse when the dealer pointed that out.

Just my .02

MP,

Thanks for responding, That was the first thing I checked, to make sure that the selector wasnt lying to me. I seems to only happen when the truck is cold(mornings). The truck vibrates pretty bad, its not a lopey vibration like 4wd locked in. I had takin it to the dealer last week for the hydroboost recall, Had mentioned the problem with the service writer about the vibration and poor a.c. performance. Then picked up the truck, the service tech had listed the the vibration could not be duplicated and that my a.c. was set at 70http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif. So according to my dealer, the proper fix for an ill performing a.c. is to set it at 50 degrees and wait till itl cool the truckhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif. BTW if any of you know of a good dealer in colorado, that would be willing to fix a customers issues, please let me know.

Rocky, The vibe from the AUTO 4x4 button is a pretty quick shimmy. Apparently turning the wheels gives the sensor the same signal as a slipping tire and tries to engage the system. The wife's only did it when the wheel was turned, and more left than right, don't know why the sides would make a difference.

Some of the members have reported a lopeing idle tha would cause a bad vibe.

BTW, some times I have to leave my truck at the dealer over night if the problem happens to a cold truck, then meet with the tech not the service advisor and try to let him see it first hand. This also helps explain problems better than the chicken scratch scribble from the service advisor.

I had vibes at speed. The Dealer replaced 2 wheels, 6 tires, changed rear diff fluid, Alli spin off filter, changed oil ran with vibe sensor calledChev and Chev said all within peramitors... They tried to sell me a crew cab. The dynamics of the extended cab is causing the vibe. I test drove the crew cab and felt the same vibration. Greased interm. steering shaft. That made a big differance for me. I believe the shop went above and beyond the call for me. I also believe this sight helped me ask the right questionshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

I didn't think you could get a dmax engine and an auto transfer case?

Apparently not, but the symptoms are very similar. The wife's truck is a avalanche. Sorry for the confusion.
