Is anyone still using the UNI filter in their trucks anymore? I have one that I bought at least 8 months ago that I have installed yet. I don't here many people talking about it anymore. Is it cool to use or is there something better?

I have been running mine for the past 8 months/20k miles(since the amsoil foam disintigrated) Clean intake tube always and I can drive in some dirty places. I've held it up to the light and saw "sparkles" but that was light reflecting off the oil drops not pin holes. I personally see absolutly no way a UNI or other 2 stage foam could have pin holes unless there was some mechanical damage to it. No power difference but I bought one because its cheaper in the long run and I believe it filters as well as paper. Spicers air filter study will tell though. I kept the paper so I stick it in for a day while the UNI is drying between cleanings.

Mine's been in for who knows how many miles now. Due for service no doubt...

I've got them on both of my trucks.Everything is clean when I wipe out the tube,& I check them alot since the debate about holes happened.I'm going to do an oil analysis on both trucks after this change & see if there is a difference in the two.The 3500 is on road only,the 2500 is off the road alot in sand & dirt.

I've got one in my Dmax with no problems. Also have the Uni in all four of my dirt bikes.

have one in my buddies truck who lives off a long dirt road.. intake still clean as can be...

I've run both varieties of Amsoil oiled foam since Dec -'01, just put a Uni in the box a couple of weeks ago. I've had a clean intake and low silicon numbers all along.

Ok, I will try it out and see how it works for me. I really want to get a real intake system.
