My 03 dmax got its first oil change at 800kms Then the next one at 5400 kms.Then at 11700 do oil change plus first sample.Comes back bad high dirt (silicon). Checked air filter plus intake pipes looked good.Is this a normal amount of crap for the newly cast block +assembly.Havent seen this on any of the hd equipment I am familiar with.

What were your numbers, how did you sample it, who did the analysis? SPICER

The numbers were all normal except silicon 22 ppm. Looking at some of the sheets on mobile equipment with the same oil are 2 to 3.recommended to change oil.Took the sample out of the drain stream with hot oil. Metro Tech in Calgary Alberta sample kit have had good luck with them not to many false alarms.Will get some kms on the oil and do an other oil change + sample.Thanks for the reply
