I have read that cold weather is a problem with Bio but I haven't been able to find out yet if it is a problem to run regular diesel winterizer in biodiesel. Has anybody tried it or does anybody know? A guy I work with has started making his own but said he needs a bigger demand for it. Has offered it to me at $1.00 a gallon so if I can make it work I will but I don't want to have a gelling problem. If you know of anything else I should be concerned with please let me know. I have read most of the bio posts and know about changing the filter at first but that seems to be the only issue, correct?

iirc Primrose sells a BIO specific anti-gel. Regular additives don't work on BIO.

Just run at 50% or less when it dips below 40. 20% bio worked great for the last two years in my tow truck. The minimum temp was -19.

Hey Horse

Really was okay with B20 at -19? I like to put in B20, but backing off from it since the cold weather is coming.
