Hello,
i have the same fast idle solenoid as on the 6.2's with the little rod that sticks out and hold the throttle lever down on cold starts but for some reason it is not working and i know it is getting 12v to it since i tested it. A while back i adjusted the rod to increase the fast idle speed, then shortly after i turned it down a little ... then not much later on it stopped working. It seems to have something to do with the adjustments i made since i never had a problem until i did so.
Can anyone tell me if these things are fixable and, if so, how? They are expensive to replace, at least $120 and for that price i would rather just use my foot on the pedal a bit to accomplish the same thing - but it would be helpful if i could get the thing working again.
