I've done some reading of the threads on here. Seems like this EFIlive is really the cats @ss.
Couple questions though, with this program can you calibrate for larger tires? I just read that with edge it only shows the correct speed on the attitude display, not corrected on the speedo.
Is it possible to just get a tune that is sutible for a stock tranny untill I get around to that?
Of course this is all for a LBZ truck so I have some time to wait, be a good x-mas present. :ro)
thanks a bunch!!

You can change settings, for gears, tires, change max, and min RPM, and max, and min speed.
You can make a tune from well below factory horsepower, upto 500+ rwhp, so the answer is YES you can build or get from others a transmission friendly tune.
You will need to wait until V-2 is released later this month and buy that one, but even then you will have to wait until Ross, and Paul release the tuning software for the 06+ trucks. (However, at the time of the release, they may also release the scan tool for the 06+ trucks, only time will tell)

hdmax (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/member.php?u=182), thanks for the info. I think I'm going to wait untill it comes out now instead of getting an edge or similar.

When EFI for the LBZ is released will there be a member or vendor selling pre made tunes? I don't have the slightest idea how to use
EFI and don't really want to experiment on my truck. I'm assuming I would have to buy the program to be able to install a tune, also do anyone think there would be a tuner that would exchange PCM's like they do with gas engines like Westers and Nelson's Performance?

It may take a few weeks to have any big power tunes out after the release for the LBZ, but I'm sure someone could whip you up a tow tune.

well im am not 100% sure about v2 but you shouldnt really have to buy the whole program. once someone builds a tune that you like, if they wanted to you could pay for the licence and what ever they want to charge and could load the tune on your pcm. but... you would have to go back to them to load you stock tune back on.

Actually I'm only looking for a good tow/performance tune since I'll probably never tow anything over about 8000lbs and I don't expect to ever go to the track. I had a good Westers tune in my old Z-71 and have heard so many good things about EFI and HP Tuners.

Someone here that goes by "Trippin" just might be able to help you when the new version is released...
