I apologize that this question is for something without a diesel engine....my new tool box.
I just took delivery of a new Craftsman professional roll-cart and chest (46" wide). The drawer rollers are not as silky as they should be for the price I paid, so I'd like to grease them with something. The instructions say to use petroleum jelly or equivalent.
Before I go embarrass myself by buying an industrial sized vasoline container at my local drug store, do you guys have any other suggestions on what kind of grease/oil I might try using?
I'm after the product that will make the drawers glide open and closed. Thanks!

You will find that the drawers will loosen up after use. The grease is heavy and restricts some.. Load er full of tools and use it.. It'll break in.

Just go to Cosco and get the Jolly Green Giant size of Vasoline and some Beach Towels or a Pallet of tissues ....

If you work in a shop full of debris like I do the last thing you want to do is put grease on the drawer rollers. Dmaxalli is on the best track with his info. If you feel the drawers are harder than they should be remove them and check the rollers for paint or possible packing material caught in them.
As for Mac's suggestion I do not belive he allows us to post the proper information for applying said product. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clown.gif

Mac,
If you need BEACH TOWELS for "clean-up," you should be in the movies. And I'm not talking about Finding Nemo....

On a serious note, thanks for the tips, guys. I'll inspect my slides, make sure they're clear of paint, etc., and then load up the box and see how they start working. I would guess the weight of tools will cause them to roll better.
