So twice now I have noticed grey smoke pouring from the pipe on my 05 lly with 37000 miles. Both times if was almost right after driving away from a "extended" warm up. Past 2 days has been chilly in the early morning here so I start the truck a little sooner, prolly idled 45-60 minutes before I drove it and than as Im sitting at the light about a quarter mile from my house theres a big oil smoke cloud that will last 10-15 seconds. I dont see it at any other time. Is this normal after a long idle?

If it smokes cold (blue) it's due to incomplete burning of the fuel. Grey smoke is nothing,it's a diesel,it's gonna smoke from the fuel,not motor oil.
