Trying to add some courtesy lights to my 2004 and found this:
<TABLE style="WIDTH: 349pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=466 border=0 x:str>
<COLGROUP>
<COL style="WIDTH: 87pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 4242" width=116>
<COL style="WIDTH: 200pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 9764" width=267>
<COL style="WIDTH: 62pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 3035" width=83>
<T>
<TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17>
<TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; WIDTH: 87pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=116 height=17>Painless Wiring</TD>
<TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; WIDTH: 200pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=267>COURTESY LIGHT KIT</TD>
<TD class=xl25 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; WIDTH: 62pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=83 x:str="30702 ">30702 </TD></TR></T></TABLE>
Looks like it'll work but I hate to add door pin switches when I know there must be some in place already, and it looks clean.
Does anyone have any experience with, or details on how to tap into the 2004 D/A door switches? I cannot find them anywhere in the door jambs, but I know they must exist since the lights come on when I open the doors.
Or is this like the magic refrigerator monkey, that turns the light on and off just when you open/close the fridge door? If it is, where IS the monkey located in the 2004 GM? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
