I'd like to mount more lights to my truck for all the night driving I do. I already have HID's, and two more HID's up front on a light bar, but I'd like more light higher up. Is there any known "classy" way to mount a light bar to the roof, or anything along those lines? A roll bar is out of the question since A: the 80's are dead and B: I have a tool box in the back of the truck that's staying...
Thanks,
Chad.

If you have the snow prep package there is a pre-wired harness that runs through the drivers side A pillar. If you can find some type of light bar the wiring should be pretty easy, but other then that the only light bars I know of are the police light bars.

Whelen mini edge.
Strobes??? :badidea:
I have toyed with using an MX7000 lightbar from Code 3 (do a search on EBay) Then removing/selling all the rotators and replacing them with 'takedowns' or flashers (just direct wire them without the flasher) This guy is selling MX7000's for $300 delivered (http://www.alrichcorp.com/mx7000.html) Then you would have to replace the domes with clear ones on Ebay (bargains to be had) and removing up to 5 rotators...that you could sell on Ebay...and just buy the flashers.
The plus side is that you could throretically have 11 forward facing 55 watt lights plus 6 55 watt lights on the lower deck. Then they have alley lights...including 'smart alleys' that you can aim from in the cab too. More light than you could put out with PIAA or KC...probably rivals HID in terms of Sun like brightness. Problem is total wattage and amp draw...and $$$.
If you can dream it...it can be done.

The dude's looking for illumination.
Put 2 HID and 2 normal 240 Blitz Lightforce lights up on the front bumper.
You'll cause retinal scarring if you don't dim your lights for oncoming traffic.
I run 2 normal 240 blitz'es and they are the cat's arse

are you looking for illuminiation light bars or flashing warning light light bars? they're two entirely different things...

He does night driving, hence he's looking for illumination ie a KC bar or something.
Any warning light/strobe PD cruiser style bar will not do the job you're looking for. Trust me, I spent a whole day talking with the local place here in town that rigs up all the APD/AST cruisers and stuff.

Nothing...if you are taking a picture.
LED is the way to go for emergency lighting now.
