GM feels that leaking batteries are partly caused from the posts overheating from poor contact between the cable and battery, make sure this is clean and the cable is tightened properly.
Is there a torque spec. for the cable lugs? My wifes olds van has been leaking all over the garage floor. Had to have battery replaced. I fear this on my truck. I have already coated the terminals and they felt tight, but ya never know
