Get this, Fabtech has made aftermarket pitman and idler arms for our trucks but they will not release them because of liability/legal issues. Edited by: BassinRVer

Why would you need stronger Pitman and Idler arms? I have done every thing short of droping the truck off a building and have found the stockers to be quite stout. When they go, you will probably have a bent or broken frame as well. Just what i've found through reserch and testing. The steering dampener could be better though.

I just purchased my third set of pitman and idler arms (63,000 miles). With my 35 inch tires and the way I drive, I wear them out. I do not break them just wear them out. Edited by: BassinRVer

Is it the ball joints in them that are going? I haven't wasted mine yet at 55,000. Good luck on the search. Keep us informed.

Well Orielly's had one part and Napa had another part (I can not remember who had which cause my wife already swiped the recepts to put in the 2004 tax folder). Napa will soon have upper ball joints for our trucks (they have a part number so the part will be out very soon). I had to get the factory upper a-arm assembly to get the ball joint from the stealer.
