I am looking at trading my 05 F350 crew cab SRW 4x4 King Ranch in on a 2007 GMC 3500 Crew Cab 4x4 dually D/A. So far I have the dealer at $22,000 out the door. My truck I only owe $14,000 on it. So trade in is around 30-31K. Sticker on new truck is $44,600 so this means they are coming down to around 38k on the truck. How does this deal sound? This was all just through email, first negotiations all based on my truck being in the shape I said it was. I know if there was no trade I could get them lower most likely.

Sounds like a very good price for a 3500 dually, but then again I have to admit I am no expert on truck trading. Why are you trading the F350, that is a very nice truck? Good luck with your trade!:)

Sounds like it only cost you 22k to drive the Ford for two years. If you didn't have to have the dually I would keep driving the Furd. Drive some more money out of it.

Main reason, my Ford is a SRW, my 5th wheel which is just 3 months old is within limits of the Ford, but I really need a dually for it to be safe I feel. Second, I have had 2 rear main seals replaced in the 6 months, I am 6,000 miles from going out of the bumper to bumper warranty after that every engine warranty claim is 100 bucks. I am starting to not trust the 6.0l PSD. Third, The 6.0l PSD has good power but at the wrong RPM for my towing, I cruise with my trailer at 60-65, rpms are 1550-1700, torque isnt maxed till above 2000, if I hit any grade at all I have to force a kickdown to keep EGT's from going over 1200. Even in small roller hills like through Oklahoma, the tranny is constantly shifting up and down.
I am test driving the new truck today, but just by reading the specs of max torque being down at 1600rpm, and more of it, it should pull at my speeds much better. Plus being a dually. And the diffrence in what I paid, to trade in, to payments I have made, it has cost me $12500 for these 2 years. I paid 41K new, still hard to swallow but not terribly bad.

I am paying 37,800 on the truck after rebates, they are giving me 30,500 on my trade, end result tonight at the dealer, $21,737 out the door between the trucks. I am happy with the deal.

Is it too late if we have arrived at a deal? I havnt signed papers, but I think I use a GMID they would lower my trade in value is all to arrive at the same price.
