How fast would a dually crew cab 7.3L with 340hp at the rear wheels be? 0-60, and 1/4 mile? I am not exactly sure of the year but it is probably and 00 to 02.
I don't know what is in it to make 340 hp but I assume just a chip. I know the transmission is stock but he is upgrading it shortly.

I doubt even that fast..those things are heavy. I would guess mid to high 15s. Powerstrokes without propane are pretty damn slow..at least all the ones I have raced. I used to own one as well..it was a slug.Edited by: Wickedsprint

Doesn't really matter now... On his way home towing a trailer he saw a cummins he thought he should try to beat. He rolled into it in his tow setting and thought he need more so he turned it up to the highest setting. He stayed ahead of the cummins for a bit...until he blew up his turbo. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

I have a 1977 F250 crew cab with a 460 engine, which I bought for $1500.. that thing will beat most diesels.. not in the least because it weighs less than 5000 lbs empty. I couldn't believe it when I took my F350 diesel to the scale and it was 7140 lbs http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif. Damn state of CA wants to charge me $250/yr in weight fees. Maybe I should take out the engine and push it onto the scale.

3500LLY let me know when you get it all done. Would love to line up with you on the 1/8 track outside of Pacific Junction, IA. Just want to see how yours will run. Nothing special done to mine all stock but the AFE intake. Just want to see.

Gentlemen, I thought the whole idea of owning a Diesel was for towing, and related fuel economy, not for racing.
