Anybody run the BFG 285's in the E rating strictly on the premis that they are rated up to 3750#'s? I was considering going up to 19.5" wheels and tires to but the 225 F rated tires are only 3640 #'s It seems that the BFG's would be more cost effective at this point.
Any thoughts????

I run the 285/75/16-e rated tires just for the load rating.I didn't want to go to the 19.5 inchers because of the harsh ride when empty.I'm pleased with them so far.The only negative on them is the loss of fuel mileage, about 1mpg. Tom

I,m hauling a 4000#+ truck camper on a 3500 srw. The rear axle weight with camper on and loaded for a trip is just shy of 7000#.The BFG's are good for 7500#.The AAM rear axle is good for 10000#+.Your 2500HD has the same axle under it.I also run ALCOA forged aluminum wheels rated at 3750# each. Tom
