Where is the best place to tap in for a oil pressure switch? In front of the oil filter is three pipe pluged holes and two with big plugs in them. Which one sould I use for the switch? Any better locations?

I placed mine on the oil filter housing forward facing plug. I beleive all the ports on the housing are pressureized on startup. I went with a stainless steel 3/8NPT-1/8 FNPT reducer bushing for the switch.Edited by: TC Dmax

I would guess he is adding a lift pump.

I added two lift pumps. One of the 6.5s for every day running, and a high performance one for pulling and the track that I can activate with a toggle. They work in unison at the pulling fields and the track. It's a neat set up and works well with out the massive return flow of running one big one. Nothing against the others, it just cost me less than $200 to build with prefilter and all. But I want to add the pressure switch just in case.

Less than 200 bucks for all the parts. You must have good connections for cheap parts. Don't waste all that money from the tie rod stiffeners I have ordered in one place.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Most of the stuff I got from www.jegs.com (http://www.jegs.com). The higher flow pump is a Carter P4600HP. Rubber mounted of course. I have alot of cashola going to other research stuff as well. I will let you know how it comes out.
