: Juice Level 4 And Hypertech??
duramaxdiesel 06-27-2004, 06:03 PM I was wondering about something. Right now I'm running with my Hot Juice in level 4. Can I stack both the Juice and Hypertech on a stock rig. The Hypertech claims a 90HP jump and my hot O/J does too.
Will I see a diff at the track this Wednesday? Or will I blow my tranny apart?

GMC2500HD 06-27-2004, 06:51 PM You are going to tear up that trans very soon and if you add anymore power to it now, it is over.......BOOM....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
duramaxdiesel 06-27-2004, 07:05 PM Uh...note taken. I'll scrap that ideahttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif Guess I'll stick to level 4 'till I can get the tranny upgrade. Thanks Nick
Max Power 06-27-2004, 07:46 PM I notice you say you have a hot juice? A hot juice in level 4 is around 130hp not 90 as you noted earlier.
duramaxdiesel 06-27-2004, 10:23 PM I ordered the hot Juice I do know that. It was a few hundred bucks more. Is there any way to identify it from the regular Juice? Thanks. Nick
Max Power 06-27-2004, 10:31 PM On the sticker it will say 'hot' probably written in marker.
The owners manual will show 90hp for level 4 but it is actually 130 or so. As far as the rest of the levels, ignore the first and bump all the others up one.
Max Power 06-27-2004, 10:32 PM By the way, a hot juice in top level is at the absolute max of your stock transmission. If you go anymore you will need a tranny upgrade. Some will say that the hot juice is already too much for the stock tranny.
duramaxdiesel 06-27-2004, 10:53 PM I just went and looked at my box. No "HOT" written on it. Should I head down to the shop where I bought it and raise hell??! It says Hot Juice on the bill. If I got screwed I got a brick for their front windowhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif Nick
Max Power 06-27-2004, 10:57 PM You'll have to ask around. I know mine is hot and it also says hot on it. The place that sold it could have just reprogrammed it and not wrote hot on it. Either that or they could have shipped you the wrong one. If they were going to go to the trouble of screwing you they could have easily wrote hot on it. So I doubt they intentionally screwed you. If I am correct the only way to know for sure is to take it to an edge dealer that has a box that can read it and see if it is indeed a hot box.
duramaxdiesel 06-27-2004, 11:19 PM I just got off the phone with the sales guy. I know, it's 11:00pm but he did give me his cell number in case I ever had a problem. This is a problem righthttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif He said that he was sure that I have the Hot O/J. He ordered it himself and said that I shouldn't worry. Oh well, it does feel a lot more powerful than the Hypertech on the 90HP setting. Thanks Nick
Max Power 06-27-2004, 11:25 PM Even if you just had the regular juice you would notice a BIG improvement over the hypertek.
duramaxdiesel 06-27-2004, 11:34 PM What numbers should I see on the rollers with the Hot Juice in level 4? Thanks for your help. Nick
Max Power 06-28-2004, 12:19 AM I am don't really have any experience with dynoing but I would guess around 350-370 and I am probably not very far off. Others should be able to chime in who have had experience.
hdmax 06-28-2004, 12:04 PM The Quadzilla Stealth 135 dyno`s at 375-405 rwhp (Depending on temps, humidity, dyno, operator, and what not) So I would expect that the hot Juice minus the Attitude would be in that same area.
If you truly have the real Hot Juice minus the Attitude, and no tranny mods, you will get little or no added benefit from stacking the Hypertech with it. You may even do the transmission in by doing so.
If you are looking for a dyno queen and use over drive lockout. You may get by for a while with stacking power mods. But don't expect it to last too long. And running the stack on the street will without a doubt kill the tranny rather quickly.
duramaxdiesel 06-30-2004, 04:02 PM Thanks for the info guys.I'm gonna save up as much coin as I can for a tranny upgrade. The track is just so ADDICTIVE!!

Max Power - you're joking right? For $700+ they just write it in with a marker, and don't have a different label for the Hot Juice?

Nope, not joking. I imagine the reason they do it this way is because any juice dealer with a programmer can upgrade to hot. It's not a big deal as far as I am concerned.

I can see some slime ball selling the regular juice for a couple extra bigs ones and writing HOT on the box. How likely is that if someone is buying off the internet without knowing anything about the seller? I say VERY likely.
