Im looking at getting new wheels and tires.I want 20''. I like the 'mojave' rim with the teflon coating but notice they only have a 4.5'' backspacing for a 20x10 rim. I wonder how far are they going to stick out past the fender. I want a little wider but not tooo wide.If you have pictures of a 20x10 with 4.5'' backspacing on non lifted truck please post.

There was just a post a few days/week ago from a guy that put 20x10 Helo Maxx 8's on his truck. Can't remember the name of the post but it had a few people with those wheels. I think those wheels have a 5" BS. They went past the fender quiet a bit. Do a search for Helo 20x10 Maxx wheels, you might find those pics. I think 10's are a little wide. I'm getting 20x9's with a backspacing of 4.61". I think they will stick out a little but I don't mind a little bit.

i have 20x9 ice metal's with 4.5" backspacing and they stick out pretty good, prolly a good inch on either side. i like the way it looks but before i lifted my truck they rubbed really bad with 305/55/20 (33") tires, i had to do quite a bit of trimming to the fenderwell, front bumper and mudflap and they still rubbed badly on the back of the front fender, oh and all that was even with my torsion bars cranked up all the way. so a 20x10 is going to stick out farther than mine do and unless your going with a small street tire then your going to have a lot of rubbing issues. without a lift i definetly wouldnt run this size rim again, i would try to find something with a larger backspace to sit the tires in further which would cut down on the rubbing. and heres a link to a pic of my truck before the lift with the rims and 33's. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/18475/cat/500/ppuser/50102
and heres some after the lift http://s106.photobucket.com/albums/m274/foreman00081/ hope this helps you out some, mike d

ok thanks. does anyone have any recommendations for rims then. i will be running 33x13.5r20 swamper irok radial. i got the tires on a trade, that is the only reason i am looking into new wheels and tires. dont want to crank the torsion bars too much and dont want alot of rubbing. maybe i will go with a body lift but would like to try and make them work without. any suggestions on rims with more backspacing?

20X9 with +10 or +12 mm (4.5inch) backspacing looks good. They are just on the edge of the fender flares.

With those tires you WILL have to do a lift. They are going to rub no matter what backspacing you use.

I just put on 305/55 20 Nitto's on a set of 20x9 Ice Metal 889's not positive on the back spacing with a congnito level and torsions cranked but they did rub the rear of the front fender. I pulled back the liner and trimmed up the fender a little to get theem to stop rubbing but they look awesome!! Everywhere I go I get "thats a nice truck!"
