Is it true that if you crank the torsion bars you need to get longer shocks? I've heard yes and no from different vendors. I need to get an alignment soon and need to find out before then. Thanks!

It is the fact that they are too short from factory. They are right, you don't increase travel by cranking. They probably don't know they are too short from the get go.

Yes, you need longer shocks, one reason is the stock units top out when the torsion bars are cranked, and two, the stock shocks don't last very long.---

What is your opinions on skyjacker shocks? Seem to be fairly cheap and this was recommended by one vendor.

What shocks are better? I'm looking at Bilstein shocks from Kennedy's website (I think they are just OEM shocks) or 5100 Bilstein's? I'm going to turn my t-bars and want to get new shocks at the same time. If I get the shocks from Kennedy's I'll get the shock shaft spacers. Thanks

We're the only ones making a 2" longer shock, the next lowest is for a 4" lift.

If you just crank the bars, I have a simple aluminum spacer collar that will allow your front shocks to extend far enough to just hit the mechanical stop on the frame.
