Ok... Here's the deal.

Banks 6 gun, and Banks exhaust. I haven't run any other adders/chips/what have you. I have not even installed the speed loader. I know this thing isn't the hottest thing out there.

Today the tranny has been acting up. I went around a corner and hit it, and it seemed like the engine and tranny lugged down and stayed in first, then once it stopped slipping and got into 2nd gear, then she took off like normal but as if I had been driving a "normal" stick and had tried to take off in 2nd and not first...

I've heard on here of putting the allison back into "fast learn" mode or whatever that is. Is anyone here familiar or knowledgable of what that is?

I also know an allison tranny place here in town and am contemplating driving over there on monday and having them take a look at it before I go to the dealer, since they probably would be more unbiased.

Obviously, with this being a worry, a level 3 suncoast kit is next on the list of toys, even though I'm not going to juice it or anything.

Any assistance is significantly appreciated.

Oh yeah, on a lighter note... Lined up before this happened behind some ricer, a new 'crossfire' thing, and a f350. They looked like they were lining up, so I put her in neutral and revved it up... I could have destroyed them all but since I wasn't in the mood for a crossfire for a hood ornament, I settled for smoking the ford and the import...

You know your truck sounds good when people lean out of their cars and trucks to see what all the racket is about...

Well, since noone has any ideas...

Anyone know anybody in anchorage that'll touch an ally 1k tranny to put a suncoast kit in? the 2 I talked to today said no way.

If you can find a good garage that specializes in all type of repairs........or possibly an RV repair shop might help you out.

Many repair shops have qualified tech's..........just do some asking.

I would check out an Independent tranny shop. Allisons arent that bad to work on, so any tech that has been around trannies shouldnt have a problem. Get them a transgo book or allison service manual.

Look for a Mitsu dealer. I think that they use Alli's in their trucks. I would say IZUZU...but I think they use IZUZU trannies? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

One person for every square mile up there and 80% live in the cities......must be nice sometimes. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Oh it is awesome. I have yet to be dissapointed in wanting to find something to get or do up here. Transfer-flow? Got it. 4x4 shops? Got it. Gun shops? got it. This city has something for everyone yet it's not stupid big like atlanta, SF, san jose, or the like. Plenty of everything and it's all somewhat in the woods which is the coolest part... integration of nature :)
