I thought that I've read to lock out OD you just hold the tow/haul button. Is there a light or something to confirm it's locked out? I've been unsuccessful at doing anything other than turning tow/haul on/off. I have an 02 GMC 2500hd dmax. Thanks

The OD lockout feature wasn't available until '03. If you want it on your truck you will have to retrofit it.

After 03, it will show a D with a \ through it...

Smith, did John Kennedy do a writeup on the procedure here on the site or did you contact him in person? I'm very interested in doing the mod.

Is that lockout still on the 06. I thought my 2004.5 had it, but I do not think the 06 have it.

No, you have the manual mode.

Yes I know I have that, but I thought I had something else too. I guess I am just remembering my old truck.

If you dont want to use any O/D, use manual mode, and select 4. ;)
