Can any of you guys tell by removing the dust cover on the standard tranny if it is a duel mass flywheel or a solid?

The daul mass fly wheel is twice as thick as a regular one.
if it's a heavy duty it will be dualmass.

Does anybody have a part # or casting # for the factory duel mass. The reason i ask is that I bought the 96 with a new clutch installed, but I need to order a new one and do not know if has been switched with a solid fly wheel. I pulled the dust cover got the casting #, but GM house didnt show the #. Clutch is chattering need to replace it but dont know witch one to order. Any help appreciated.

I had the same problem I couldn't tell which one I had so I just bought the kit to convert it to solid flywheel from Bill Heath for about the same price as the complete kit for the dual mass and I am glad that I did it was a dual mass with broken springs in it
