I started to have the stiff clutch pedal after driving for extended periods of time with out shifting. Then the first shift was stiff and felt like it hardly engauged anything. After this first shift everthing was back to normal. Ok so I took my truck in and they said "GM says" the truck was filled with dot 3 fluid instead of dot 4 so they will replace the Clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder. They ordered the parts and have now replaced them. On the trip home there was too much tourist traffic to get a long enough cruise without shifting to see if it actually worked. I will give an update next week to let you know if it seems to have worked or not. One thing though my shift knob/lever is not quite straight now and it bugs me. Anyone know how to turn it??

Loosen the nut under the boot to straighten the shifter.
