Symptoms,


Engine is trying to cut out when pwhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gifr is applied. Changed inline fuel filter whiched hadn't been chgd in a while but the prob reappeared after only a few miles. Will chg pcv next.


Also can hear the missing at times when at idle & hope it is not the carb which has not been worked since it was born in 1992.


Can't say yet it's not the petro sense I did fillup the same morning this started. But itis the same place we always use with no probs.

Sounds like you may have picked up a slug of water in fuel tank.

Cranked it up this afternoon & sorta put it thru the paces up & down our dirt roads here & not a whimper, falter or nothing except goooo!


Maybe a little matter left from filter chg or used up the water that came from the fillup? Can't remember, does gas float water or the other way around like diesel?


Probly it has took sides with my wonder woman & don't want tobe sold. Guy at napa said it couldn't be the pcv because they never sell one & that was the reason they didn't keep em? Wonder how long the pumps last in these tanks? May still be the carb but thimk if so it would be hard to start sometimes or black smoking.


Just too many things but it may just straighten up & fly right. Maybe.

You might want to through a few cans of fuel system treatment in the tank to be sure if there was or is in fact some water in there
