My '01-'05 Allison cooler will have twin fan option by the end of the year. Drawings are done and shrouds are being cut. This took a while, but it had to be right and it had to retro to previous coolers sold. Fans will be supplied by SPAL. I think this will help engine temps also.

Mike,

Will the 06 cooler not work with this fan? I was wanting to add the cooler when I have the SC Stage IV/1057 done by you. I am assuming the 01-05 is of a different design than the 06.

PM Mike or give him a ring and I'm sure he would be happy to discuss price with you. That way we can keep this thread more of a tech thread about the product instead of a FS add:)

No price yet on the retro. My '06 cooler is different and so far I have not seen the need for fans on it.

mike so what kind of cfm's are we talking about hear and amp draw to?

LTChip

Some ??s...

Photos?

Temp numbers? (tranny and engine before and after tests?)

Amp draw?

I didn't realize there was a need for these. Are they for heavy towing conditions?

I also thought that other attempts at electric fans in the cooling stack were determined to be useless as they draw more power making the net cooling effect negligable. What is different about this set up that would make it a net benefit?

Thanks

There has been no testing whatsoever because the product is not built yet. It will be shortly. I will have info on amp draw and cfm when I have one in hand and on a truck. We have been using a slightly smaller dual fan cooler ( 5 rows shorter ) in other applications with great success for quite a while. This setup with my cooler ( 5 rows taller ) will work just fine. I am bringing this out for the hardcore towing trucks and '05 overheaters. I have tested a 300cfm 7" single fan on my cooler ( without shroud ) with so so success on an '05. Chisuzu ( Scott )was my tester for that one.
