I am putting a ham radio in the truck "05 GMC CC 2500 Duramax" I have the radio installed but would like to get ride of the extra speaker.Is there a way to hook up the speaker wire to the radio and have the XMradio or the Fm on and have the ham radio s ound come out of the factrory speakers at the same time just like the door chime does.I would like to listen to both radios at the same time. Has any one done this or can it be done?Thr factory radio is the boes system with XM.

Of course, there's always the FM transmitter method, just like some MP3 players use, but it would be nice to be able to listen to my XM radio and still hear my ham radio over the top.

Yeh I want to listen to bouth at the same time because when your on fm and no body is talking it is quiet.I like to monitor the fire freq. also and you only here them whey are talking most of the time the freq is quiet.I would think that you could adjust the volume at the radio for your listing pleasure.
