What do you mean by "louder"? Loud overall, more bass, mids, highs? I don't have the Bose but would assume not much except some subs needs to be installed. In that case I would get two Kicker L7 8's and build my own box with an amp rack behind the rear seat so as not to take up any storage space. I haven't taken any measurements but you may be able to fit something under the rear seats instead of behind but it looks tight.
Hope this helps.

i have the bose system and i also wanted more bass. i dont want to rattle the truck apart like the rice grinders, but it would be nice to have a little more bump. no one makes a box for a crew cab that i have seen yet.

throw a sub at it, a kick *** amp, and you wont have any complaints. i had a $3200.00 system in my 02, and i think the bose in my 03 with a Rockford "3" sub, and 660w amp is better sounding than the 03 was. the base knob on the radio is all the way down, the 'low boost' knob on the amp is almost all the way up and the treble stays high on the radio itself. I looked at doing the upgrade, and found it more resonable to just add a sub. Just my .02.

JL Audio makes a box that will fit behind the seat of a crew cab with no modifying or cutting. I have seen it at Unique Car Audio in Gilbert, AZ. It will hold two tens and has a space to mount the amp. I know the owner of Unique Car Audio because I do work for him and he told me not to put any subs under the back seat. The best sound is behind the seat. The box runs like $800. It's not cheap but I guess it is worth the money. JL makes good stuff.

That would be his opinion and I know a few guys that compete that would beg to differ. My subs sound (SQ) way better than I expected under my seat.

And IMO JL is way overpriced for want you get.:D

Well JL boxes are expensive, but the subs and the amps are worth it. I had a JL 10" W3 in my truck and came across a 12" W3. I made the box and only takes up the passenger side and middle under the seat on a ext cab. I have a Mono 250 JL amp and is plenty IMO. Anything else and you would interfere with your high and mid sound. Under the seat is fine and the boxes just need glue and finish nails.

We have a self powered unit for trucks, works really well, I've installed a few in some friends trucks, makes nice bottom end with out overpowering or giving you that rice rattle, which by the way is easy to cure with some Dynamat. The Basslink T is 3 10"s, one active with two passive radiators and a 250watt amp all in one nice sized enclosure, easy to install, just needs power, ground and signal. You can use either high level or low level inputs so wiring it into your Bose system will be cake. It also has an EBC that allows you to control the output level from the dash, turn it up when you wanna rock out, turn it down when you don't.
