I have seen the post where you can wire your highs and lows together so all 4 stay on. I was at a shop last week and the "Light guy" said the wires are too small and not to wire them up becasue they would melt. I don't use the truck very much except on weekends and camping. How long have some of you been using this four light on system and has there been any problems?

two years with no problems

Your using the existing wiring after and before the relay the relay is just being switched on when you turn on the lights. The amp draw is small to turn on the relay which is doing what it would normally do. Your not adding additional load to the light wiring or the load side of the relay.
