A while back someone started a thread about the Spectre cone air filter at Auto Zone. Got one yesterday and now my truck whistles real nice!:ro) I can hear it right off idle and going 60 down the road. Wish I woulda done it a while ago. Now all I gotta do is rig up a box. Was thinking of useing my stock square box, cutting the hole in front bigger and putting it in there. Whadda you think?

I think your freeking crazy.... but u might have a good idea about the airbox and filter thing and prolly u dont have to realy decide till next summer again anyway right? underhood temps might not be a problem in winter.. ?..

What did u use to connect the filter to the turbo housing? and what about the CDR tube thingie? Does it just hang off it unsupported ?

I want to try something like this if its cheap.

I kept the factory tube, the filter fits right in the tube. I'm going to use a piece of pipe to hook them together but haven't gotten around to it.
Check out this thread, it is where I got the idea. This thing sounds amazing and was only $25. And it is washable and reusable.
