Greetings! I am in the market for a "Module/box/programmer/whatever you call them". I was thinking of getting a quadzilla, but after reading posts here I am not sure. I have a 2002 crew cab, tow a travel trailer every now and then, and primarily want better mileage, match the speedometer with larger tires, and maybe gain a little more power. Any suggestions?

Upgradeing...... always, allways get gauges, first.
Give one of the sponcers here a call, they will help you out. I would suggest John Kennedy Diesel (http://www.kennedydiesel.com). JK, as we call him, has what you need and is there "after" the sale. I'm not trying to push JK on ya but he has been good to many of us here and at that other page.
What you're looking for sounds like a Pred on the 40hp tow setting.....if you get a pyo.

Shrubber- Check out the Edge Juice/Attitude combo. It is a very popular combo because you get 5 power settings at the touch of a button and has gauges to boot! Do a search and you will have tons of reading material on them. If you have any questions, let me know

shrubber, you are going to have to get a tuner to do what you are looking for. Your choices are petty much, Predator, Quad Tuner, Bully Dog Tuner, and Xcellerator. Im not sure if the hypertech or superchips change for tire size. As others said, get gauged first since you will be towing, then get a tuner.

Thanks for your help! Does anyone have a bully dog product? How does it compare to the Edge?

Shrubber, You had asked about a product that would adjust for larger tires, give you better MPG and "maybe" give you a little extra power, right? The Predator will do these things on the 40HP/TOW program without killing you on egt's. Actually, on a 40HP setting, most of the stuff that's out will do "ok" on egt's.
However, if you do want to climb the ladder.....Give it the EDGE. Dollar for dollar they are the best thing going and great service too. An Edge with Attitude will cover most every gauge you would want. The difference between a Predator and the Edge is that the Pred corrects the OEM speedo and Edge corrects it in the Attitude display. A Pred is "pluged in" under the dash for a "one time" each time your settings are changed and the Edge is "on the fly" adjustable.
For what you're looking for, I'll still stand with my first choice, the Predator. ----- Set it and forget about it without temptation. The Predator may help you understand a little more aobut your truck form the inside out. It is nice to se the ballance rates............
FYI-- GM will charge you over 3k for a new tranny install(too much HP). GM will charge you more than 2k for a new turbo(too much EGT). GM will charge you more than 11k for a new motor installed(Yes, the fractured rods will break)...............the more you play, the more you pay. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Throw Up.gif

I have the Xcellerator and love it. Showed it to my friend and he went and bought one right away, then showed his to a friend and he bought one as well. I dont know about their mods but I know they do have some. I keep mine on level 3 and when I tow I will watch my EGTs, and then go to level 1-2.
