Fellow Max lovers, is the balancer used for any of the signals needed for the Max to run right? I would really appreciate your help.

The Dmax is an externally balanced motor. The harmonic balancer is required to keep the engine in balance.

I know that the balancer is the final balance, but does it trigger any sensors?

No, its only there for mechanical help

Crank pickup is behind the front cover/balancer on a relucter wheel.
