Just a warning to put out there. On my 99 1500 4wd, several years ago, I bought thru 4WD Parts of California, a Warn 9000i winch, saddle mount and hidden front receiver kit. A very clean installation and strong. People there were very informative and helpful.
A few weeks ago, I picked up my new 2007 2500HD 4wd and wanted to mount same winch on it. Old age whatever couldn't remember who I originally bought the hidden hitch from (my loss!) and too lazy to check my files. Over the Internet, I found Hitchfinder.com. Their price seemed good and as I needed a trailer brake controller also, I bought thru them. Thinking all front end hitches are about the same WRONG!!!!! I put it on last night. Receiver comes out under the plastic dam (actually one should trim the dam a slight bit, to look good). Seemed low; plugged in the winch into the receiver; it's way too low!
Dug thru my files, found the receipt from 4WD Parts and called them. They referred me to Warn. They sent me the installation instructions. Their receiver comes out almost 6" higher.
Called Hitchfinder, they said, since it was mounted they wouldn't take it back. How are you going to know what it looks like, if you don't mount it?
VERY POOR DESIGN!
The crosspiece is salvageable after cutting off the receiver; I'll weld a new one on the top and should be fine. Sure gives Internet Sales a bad taste in you mouth tho.
Stick with Warn!

Update on above post. When I called hitchfinder .com and was told I couldn't return it, I asked to talk to her supervisor. 3 days later, the supervisor called back (left message on voicemail)and echoed the same reply. Not once did she ask why I was unhappy with the product. They got their money and that was all that mattered.
Ground off receiver to leave bare crossmember, reinstalled and tried some receiver stock on the topside. With a piece of 1/2" plate for height and gussetting, it'll put the receiver just below the chrome. About 8" higher! I'll tack weld it all together in the next couple of days and see how it fits. Will post pic's of before and after.
Guess in Texas, you don't have to worry about approach angles or clearances;)

While I understand your frustration, I also understand their return policy. Caveat Emptor comes to mind, but perhaps you've saved someone from the same fate. Hope you get it working right.

The no return policy would of been good to know from the start, altho the $30 shipping back would of put a dent in that. What pissed me off was, the little gal and her supervisor didn't ask why I was unhappy with the product!
I'm own a little Air Conditioning,Heating and Refrigeration company. If I had an unhappy customer (which I have had, ((can't please everyone)), I will bend over backwards to solve the problem, including replacing the unit, if that's what it takes. Although, I live in a small area (pop-30,000+), a good word is my best advertising and a bad word spreads like wild fire.
