Guys beware. I posted last year about all the fuel filter for the Dmax were made by Racor, no matter what the sticker says. That was true back then. Now a days that is not true anymore. I know the new Baldwin ones are made in China now. I am not sure if the media is the same or not. Just passing on the new info. So becareful now, if the price seams to good to be true, it might not be a deal.

Interesting. Are you sure that Racor isn't outsourcing to China?
someone needs to get their hands on one and cut it open for comparison.

That was my first though too, but Racor techy said Balwin was outsourcing them & they were not made by them. He was not sure if they were made with the same material. This guy was very honest to me the last time I called him so I beleive him. Just watch our for the "tanish" colored new Baldwins for now. The white ones for now are still the racor ones. Please let me know if someone cuts one of the tan ones open & if they look the same & have the same media.

I hope we can get a filter made in the USA. I hope not all filter makers will go to overseas.

I believe the true racor ones are still made here. I think other companies are outsourcing.

I still have an old single pleat Racor fuel filter that I bought a couple of years ago from one of the Diesel Place vendors that says right on the side "Made in Korea".
I don't think that Racor techy knows what he's talking about.

I've seen the new Baldwin units, not sure where they are made or by whom. I do know that I wasnt pleased with the area at the top of the filter that accepts the o-ring. Have not seen inside one to comment at all

Eric,
The new tan Balwin ones are made in China. Does anyone know what media is in them?
