I have a 95 Z71 k1500 6.5l 4L80E gmctd 10-05-2006, 11:12 PM That's probably the sensor in the transfer case - pull the connector, check it for dirty, oxidation, corrosion, etc. If all ok, probably need to replace the sensor - VSSB seldom fails, and they're all the same in the 6.5 vehicles. A set of jumper wires changes the ratio to fit any wheel\tire\diff combination. And welcome to the forum. chango_ii 10-05-2006, 11:47 PM well i did check connectors and sensors clean addes extra negative cables and new batteries last year. which sensor are you talking about the one transfer or on the transmission? thank you for the welcoming gmctd 10-05-2006, 11:55 PM The front sensor on the trans goes to the PCM only - the rear sensor is unused in the Z71 4wd systems. The sensor in the transfer case connects to the VSSB for speedo, cruise, RWABS, 4WABS, etc A dirty\bad connection will give same symptom as a failed sensor, so always check for that, first. chango_ii 10-06-2006, 03:52 AM Thank for the help gmctd. i'll go ang buy a new speed sensor this weekend a tried it out if not well i'll be for more help | ||
