Anyone have a problem with their Pred not working as a scanner on a truck other than its vin locked to?

I had SES light on my 3500 today & when I got home I plugged in Pred & nothing.Plugged into my 2500 that its vin locked to & it worked fine,changed tunes all was ok.Plugged back into 3500 & nothing.Pins look straight & clean.I've used it on the 3500 before to check injector rates & worked fine.Only thing I've done is upgrade Hot Juice to Attitude.I'll try DC Attitude tomorrow & check.Any ideas?

Perhaps the fuse that supplies power to your ALDL connector is blown.

Which fuse panel would that be,any idea? Will it say ALDL?

I was going to PM you & see how the switch to defeat the speed limiter worked,anyone try it?I couldn,t find the post.

Not sure which fuse but it should be in the driver side fuse panel. Not the one under the hood. It won't say ALDL.


Yes my speed delimiter works. I am working on a low cost fix without all the side effects. IF you can wait a month or two I should have something ready.

I would check the fuse, if thats not it then it is probably one of the pins or wires on the 3500.
