Anyone on the board here convert their manual side mirrors to power mirrors in their truck? I'd like to do it and swap out my trailer mirrors on my 01. If so, how did you do it? Thanks in advance.

From what i've found out this week at my local GMC dealer, non-power mirror optioned trucks are not prewired from the factory for power mirrors, so they think. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif I won't know till I get the door panel off. But i'm thinking how hard could it be. I'm sure you can pick up the door panel plate and the power mirror switch from the dealer. Theres tons of power mirror sets on ebay. I would then think all you need at that point is a fused 12 volts to the switch and then from there, to each mirror.

I have taken the door panel off and the wiring is there already. I also checked into the switch and the new door piece that lets the switch be there is about $80. I am going to switch out with the TTT mirrors, just haven't taken the chance to cough up the $500 bucks or so to get them.
