I got a great deal on some bilstien shocks off a 3/4 ton avalanche (only 10 miles on vehicle). I did some checking before I bought them and the front ones are the correct shocks for a 3/4 ton pickup. I install them with no problems. My concern comes with rear shocks. The number indicated that they were designed for a 3/4 ton avalanche or a 1 ton truck. The problem is they are about 3" shorter then the stock ones that came off the truck. I still had to compress the shock about an inch and a half to bolt it on. Will this create an problems? I would like to use these rear shocks, but if it will create any problems I'd rather buy the proper size.
