My sincere thanks to dmaxalliTech and the rest of you for your insights in to owning and maintaining my first DMAX 2500HD. My truck is sitting at the dealership right now getting the G80 differential torn down due to excessive metal shavings after only 5000 miles. When I called to make the appointment I was told that changing the rear axle lube was not required on new vehicles. I insisted on it because of your recommendation and it paid off. I was getting ready to take a long trip and I would have been really upset had I found out that my diff was having problems after I had already put 50K on it. I just introduced my boss to this sight and he is going to take his 2500 in for an inspection too. He has almost 15K on his and he is praying that he doesn't get the same news that I did.

I will probably perform all other services on my own in the future . . . I don't know if I would have caught this in time!

Thanks again! You are all life (and wallet) savers. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
