I don't drive my truck every day and it sometimes sits for a week or more with out being driven. When I start it and put it in reverse, there is a significant pause before the truck will move. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have checked the fluid and it looks clean and is at the correct level.

Thanks, Jim

converter drain back...there is a valve update to fix it, but Im pretty sure it requires puilling the trans to fix it...I wouldnt really worry about it...maybe when starting the truck, let it sit in park for 20 seconds or so before putting it in reverse?

Ben is right...trans has to come out to fix. Doing one as we speak!

Thank you for your response. I will just not worry about it. I just wanted to make sure that ignoring it would not lead to more problems.

Now that the morning temps are in the mid 40's I'm experiencing the same thing. 5 second pause when going into reverse - a couple seconds when going into first and rev's to 3000 RPM during upshifts. I'm letting the truck run a couple minutes before attempting anything. Even after 5 or 6 miles of 60mph highway, I get the slippage on up-shifts after exiting the highway and a full stop. The truck has 3800 miles on it and is still wearing it's original spin on. Planning on an oil & filter change along with replacing the trans spin-on somtime over the next few days. From a PM side, should I be looking at anything else? Should I be concerned about the Baldwin filter I plan on using?
