Pro-Street
• Heads-up 0.500 pro tree.
• Maximum 11.99 E.T.
• 5000 lb minimum weight-all motor
• 5500 lb minimum weight with one power adder*
• 6000 lbs with two power adders*

*Turbos and nitrous oxide injection are each considered a power adder.

Where would Twin Turbos with just #2 fall? One or Two power adders?

5500lbs would be twins on #2. All of our trucks have one power adder already. The 6000lb class is for twins and nos/watermeth/ propane or a single turbo and two chemical power adders.

You need to run <=11.99 to qualify. Bigger numbers bad. Smaller numbers good!

So if I understand it correctly, single or twins would run at 5500, single or twins with nitrous would run at 6000???

If I understand correctly:

Dual chargers on #2 - 5500
Single charger on #2 - 5000
Single charger on N2O - 5500
Single charger on N2O and pane - 6000
Dual chargers on N2O (and/or pane) - 6000

Pat, thats correct, but no Pane. Only NLDP and Buck were allowed Pane in 06 as they were grandfathered in from last year. It is considered a power adder and NOS and Pane would be 6000 lbs.

As JK said, rules are going to be changing this winter, dont start building yet.

Correct, but I believe that lp can not be ran in '07.

Dam Eric you beat me to it.

What are they doing about water?

I think water is "free" but can't have meth in it. Perhaps make the driver take a swig of it in tech, but if he uses ethanol, he will be drunk driving...

Maybe for now, but wait until after Houston when things are set to make a MAJOR change...

Years ago, when I was in the building trades, a general contractor told me the plummer was the smartest of all the sub-contractors. He had to know $hit runs downhill and payday is Friday. The rest only needed to know payday is Friday. :) :)

maybe i'm retarded, well yeah I am, but why is a Single charger considered a power adder in the DHRA???? show me a DIESEL that runs 11.99 or faster w/out a turbo? So if they all run turbos (at least one) why is it considered a power adder. With out it they don't make power. Do they consider spark plugs to be a power adder in a gasser?

McRat

No, you are allowed 1 turbo to be considered "normal". It's when you add a second charger or drugs that you get a weight penalty. The weight penalty normally does not affect street trucks though. Few 3/4 ton street trucks can actually be gutted far enough get under 5000lb raceweight. I think the lightest modern diesel pickup is about 5800lb empty, which would be a manual trans 2wd Dodge RC. You must add about 350lb (driver, rollbar, hoops, trans shielding, etc), so to get a 5800lb truck to 5000 raceweight, you'd have to pull out 1,150lb out of the truck. You might have something that can be registered for on-road operation, but it is nothing you could really use as a diesel pickup. More typically, you'd start with about 6200lb automatic RC 4x4, so now you'd have to strip out 1,550lb. You would still be over weight if you completely removed the cab and bed and sat on the frame rails.

So could you run no turbo and a bunch of naaaaaaaz and weight 5k right? If I built a truck I'd go that rout just so I could piss off all the pro #2 dodge guys ):h
