: Mounting items to the inside roof?

I want to mount an LCD monitor (for a rear view camera) to the inside roof somewhere near the overhead consol (or on it). I need it to be a sturdy mount location. When the LCD is not in use I want to tip it up against the headliner.

This is the type of mount I will try using:

Does anyone have a picture with the headliner removed? Is there a support piece of metal in the center of the roof I can screw into?

Pulling on the overhead console it doesn't seem sturdy enough.

My other options are to mount this the the floor on the passenger side but I would rather it not be there.

I have also thought about mounting it on the underside of the center console lid between the seats.

Thanks for any help!Edited by: Mike330R

The supports in the roof a like 24 gauge sheet metal. I don't have a picture, but I have looked at them in the last week. If you pull out the dome light, you can take a look. When you take off the clear cover, it has a wing on it that fold up so you can pull the whole assembly out. I couldn't get the link on the mount to work, so I cannot comment.

Have you considered a visor monitor for the passenger side? You can just fold it up when not in use.

Here's the link. Scroll to the very bottom to see these flex mounts:

The passenger side visor would be hard to see and also hard to move to the passenger window if needed due to the wires to the LCD.

thanks!
